According to a recent Ofsted report, ‘while four-fifths of pupils at Key Stage 2 reached national expectations over the last three years, one in five primary pupils did not achieve the expected standard in English. Far more pupils failed to achieve this standard in writing.’
The key to improving children’s reading and writing skills lies in inspiration; fuelling their imagination, getting them excited about storytelling, and giving them the confidence to put their thoughts on paper.
By launching our Creative Writing competition at individual schools, via free storytelling and drama assemblies, we not only get more children excited about storytelling but also empower them with the requisite inspiration and skills to write creatively.
